MN 20th Anniversary 9.11 Memorial

The Wayzata Conservancy, in partnership with the City of Wayzata, has planned a memorial monument in the new Plaza Park along the shores of Lake Minnetonka in downtown Wayzata to honor the tragic events of 9/11/2001. The space will offer community members a place to remember and reflect, especially each year on September 11^th. This memorial will honor one of Minnesota’s native sons Gordy Aamoth Jr., and the lives of all victims of the September 11^th attacks. There will be a special event on Saturday, September 11, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am to unveil the monument and honor the 20^th anniversary of the attacks.
